How we help
In-Home Care Services in Panama —
By the Hour, Daily, or Live-In
Every family's situation is different. Some people need a helping hand for a few hours. Others need reliable support throughout the day. Some need a caregiver who lives in the home.
Needs can also change over time.
That's why we offer three levels of care designed to grow with your situation. Start with the support you need today and adjust as your needs change - without having to start over with a completely new care provider.
Every Istmo Caregivers caregiver completes our in-house certification program and is carefully screened before working with a client.
By the Hour
Flexible help when you need it.
What It Is
Scheduled visits for families who need companionship, assistance with specific tasks, or support with daily routines—but do not need a caregiver in the home all day.HOW WE HELP
Who it's for
Frequently asked
Three hours per visit, scheduled in advance.
Yes! Many families start hourly and move to daily or live-in as needs increase. We carry the same caregiver relationship forward whenever we can.
We aim for consistency and assign a regular caregiver when schedules allow.
Daily Care
Reliable support throughout the day.
What It Is
A caregiver provides consistent, scheduled support in the home each day. Depending on your care plan, this may include hands-on personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, and support with daily routines.
Daily Care provides reliable daytime assistance without the structure of live-in care.
HOW WE HELP
Who it's for
Frequently asked
Typically a set shift each day. We confirm the exact schedule together during your care assessment.
Yes! Daily reporting is part of every daily care plan, so relatives near or far stay informed.
We reassess as needs change and can transition to live-in care when it makes sense.
Live-In Care
Consistent support from a caregiver who lives in the home.
What It Is
A dedicated caregiver lives in the home and provides ongoing companionship, supervision, and assistance with daily routines.
Live-in care is designed for people who benefit from having a caregiver nearby throughout the day and may need assistance during the night.
Live-in care does not mean the caregiver is actively working 24 hours a day. Caregivers need regular rest and scheduled time off, and the care schedule is discussed and agreed upon in advance.
HOW WE HELP
Who it's for
Frequently asked
No. Every live-in caregiver gets scheduled time off, and we arrange qualified backup coverage during that time.
A private room for the caregiver, with meals typically provided by the household. We confirm specifics during your care assessment.
We consider the client's personality, care needs, and household routine before proposing a match.
